Frequently Asked Questions
I already work with a Greek/Egyptian/Norse pantheon, will my training with the Hearth of Brighid fit this?
Yes. Our training materials can be used with any pantheon, or version of the divine which are students choose to honour. Much of our
work is with the Land, and the spirits of the land on which we work, and as such all of our students study the Mythologies, legends,
folklore and histories of Wales alongside any other interests they have.
How do I know if this is the right coven for me?
Finding the right coven is difficult and takes time. We recognise this and our application process is long to ensure we all get to know
each other before making any kind of comitment. After an initial meeting, if we feel you may be a good match for us you will be invited to undertake a 3 month trial period of study, during which time both you and us can decide if the Hearth of Brighid is right for you.
Due to work commitments I cannot attend all the study nights and rituals you hold, can I study part time?
We appreciate that a significant time commitment is required to study with us, and that this will not be right for everyone. You may find
that other covens or esoteric schools fit better with your schedule and time available.
I am 17, can I begin studing with you?
We do not accept anyone under the age of 18 for training. There are many reasons for this, with the best interests of the indivdual and coven in mind. Most of our members are over the age of 21.
I do not live locally, do you offer distance learning?
In some circumstances an element of distance learning can be accomodated, however experience has shown this is difficult and often does not work. In all cases students must be able to attend all festival rituals and workshops.
